Vanderbilt Genome Editing Resource (VGER)

Overview of Services

The mission of the Vanderbilt Genome Editing Resource (VGER) is to support both the generation and use of genetically-altered mice at Vanderbilt. The VGER provides services to enable the generation, storage and rederivation of genetically altered mice. This is accomplished through multiple services provided to investigators on a fee-for-service basis:

  • Genome Editing Design and Analysis
  • Mouse Zygote Microinjections
  • Embryo Cryopreservation
  • Sperm Cryopreservation
  • In vitro fertilization and Rederivation
  • Long term storage of mouse germplasm

Vanderbilt Genome Editing Resource is supported by the Cancer Center Support Grant (CA68485), the Vanderbilt Diabetes Research and Training Center (DK020593) and the Center for Stem Cell Biology.
